Delta Railroad is a crucial partner to the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension team, providing expert rail construction services. With extensive experience in rail installation, Delta Railroad is instrumental in connecting the existing system to the new riverfront extension and installing track for the project, which requires a high level of precision and attention to detail. Part of Delta Railroad’s work on the project includes installing six track switches. Four of the switches are traditional track switches, while the other two are specialized diamond and equilateral track switches that allow a streetcar to travel in multiple directions. In addition to planning for and building hundreds of pieces of track and switches to precise specifications, Delta’s team has worked around the clock to ensure track installation is a smooth and efficient process.

Amanda Churchill leads Delta Railroad Services’ work on the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension as Project Manager. With a lifelong background in construction, she joined Delta Railroad Services in 2024. Beyond her professional role, Amanda also co-owns a local establishment and pursues personal interests in billiards and beekeeping, selling honey and beeswax products.
Joining Delta Railroad Services in 2024, Corey Storbakken is a project foreman and is currently focused on the final bridge closure, ensuring the precise and timely integration of a complex switch and diamond design. A fun fact about Corey is that he’s been part of every streetcar construction project in Kansas City.
Damien Adam, a Superintendent with Delta Railroad Services, brings over 14 years of experience to the KC Streetcar Riverfront Extension project. His commitment to building track correctly and maintaining schedules is paramount. Even with the travel required by the industry, he consistently displays a positive and engaged attitude toward his work. A fun fact about Damien: His go-to coffee order is a brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk.
